Here is a video of myself raiding with my guild , first time trying Flame Leviathan with any towers and we one shoted it. It was a good night.

Well honestly , we all saw this coming. Ensidia is the best raiding guild in the world right now. But the real interest here is the loot. Algalon drops a number of items that i believe will be best in slot for a mage.
25 Man Loot
Cosmos
Cosmos , Best in slot offhand ?
Starshard Edge
Coolest looking caster weapon out there , and best in slot.
10 Man Loot
Drape of the Messenger
Looks great and the stats are amazing.
Nebula Band
Great stats and a yellow gem slot too
As you can see Algalon is the source of many Best in slot items. So that is a little incentive to get to him. Downing him though will be another story because he is a very hard boss on 10 man and even more difficut on 25 man. I am expecting my guild to start trying him on 10 and 25 man in a month or so.

More Crit for your Spellpower
It actually is a very good alternative to Frostfire. My dps went up about 600 DPS. My gear is not even that great and i was pulling about 4.6k DPS.
Gear
Your gear should at least be best in slot from 10 man naxx. You should have around 24-26 % crit unbuffed. You are going to want to have 1700 Spellpower unbuffed. Haste Should be over 300 if possible.
Talents
Here is a good basic Spec to start from. This allows for good mana regen and allows you to hit your hardest.
Rotation
Start with a Living Bomb > Fireball > Instant Pyroblast ( If procced ) > Refresh Living Bomb
You want to use Your Gem (If you still have 2 Set T7 ) During a heroism or keep it on cooldown because TTW/Fireball is a bit mana hungry. Also use Mirror Images when heroism pops or at the beginning of a fight. Because when you chain crit for 12 three times ……you can pull aggro and die.
Other Important Info
You must to be hit capped. Having a Balance druid or a Shadow priest in your raid group is great for the 3 % Hit buff.
Aoe burns through mana fast, so time evocation well.
Have other mages Focus magic you , and then you focus magic them. There is an easy 6 % crit.
Stack lots of spell power !!!, Empowered Fire is a talent that increases the damage done by Fireball by 15 % of your spell power

TTW/Fireball is a very fun spec to play and its always fun to crit for a ton of damage and top the meters. The only bad part is it can be very gear and mana dependent. So timing your cooldowns is still essential if you want to still top the dps like you did with arcane.

Give me a Few days to test the spec out and i will provide a full write up on it. Supposedly it will give me a sizable dps increase. We will see

I have been lucky to see this amazing cloth chest drop twice, but sadly i have not gotten it. Its best in slot right now for a Mage.

Requires Level 80
Equip: Improves critical strike rating by 58 (1.26% @ L80).

A lot of us have tried him and many of us probably have failed. The reason for this is because unlike Archvon if you have a few terrible dps ….the whole raid dies because of it. Everyone should be pulling 2.5k Dps plus in this fight and know when to switch, if you don’t then enjoy the repair bill. Good luck getting any T8 from him ….the four set bonus is amazing.

If you enjoy raiding a lot and strive to do your best then you probibly use a few addons, I do and Here are a few that i really enjoy.
Raid Frames
I have loved this add-on for a long time. Its just so easy to configure that a person with very little addon expirence can use. But for those of us who want to configure everything Xperl still allows you to do that and configure to your hearts content.
It shows everyone at level 70 but it still looks just as good at 80
We all love pushing big dps numbers in raids , But sometimes even the most skilled raiders can use a little help. These addons are meant to help you and your entire raid at the same time.
Another very cool looking addon for unit frames. This is a great addon for someone just getting into addons because it requires no configuring and looks great. This is just the base program though, to get an actual unit frames addon you have to download a Layout which can be found here. You have many choices of waht you want your layout to be like but the one i have always liked has been oUF Caellian because of its simplicity and good looks.
Good looking unit frames which use little memory
Raid Information
I love this addon because it shows me when i need to refresh Living Bomb and alerts me when to use my instant Pyroblasts. It also looks pretty good while providing very usefull information.
Makes dpsing easier !!
Hate ending up like this because you pulled aggro ?
Time to hit your oh shit buttons !!!
Then Omen threat meters are for you, It shows you just how close you are to pulling aggro from a tank and if you get up near 90 % aggro …its time to use Mirror Images or Invisiblity.
So you don't pull threat and lose 50 DKP
The final addon i love is MSBT also known as MikScrollingBattleText
It shows you how much damage your putting out and how much you are taking. It also warns you when your mana gets low and has many other options for other classes too.

Since i am back to frostfire again I will explain how to spec and glyph for it.
First off here is a good basic cookie cutter Frostfire spec
Talents

Glyph of Molten Armor
It is maximized for single target dps and does very well. When your gearing up its nice to have a fairly even amount of haste and crit. I say this because getting frostfire bolt down to a 2.5-2.6 second cast increases your dps a lot. You will need about 500 haste to get it there. You should get that 450 – 500 haste then stack as much crit as possible , this is where it is really nice to have a warlock / boomkin because they give you substantial crit buffs. The boomkin gives you Moonkin Aura and a warlock gives you a crit buff similar to Scorch. This will increase your dps and mana efficiency because your crits will give you back part of their mana.
Gear
Your going to want to get into malygos 10 and get these items
Also get Gown of the Spell- Weaver and keep your 4 set T 7 bonus by having the other four slots filled with tier gear.
Rotation
It should got like this
Living Bomb > Frostfire bolt > Refresh Living bomb and use any Instant Pyroblasts you get.
Tips
-Always keep Living Bomb up
- Ask for Focus Magic from an Arcane mage if you have one
- Use Mana gems for their Spell Power boost
